Tesla is ending its referral program on April 30th worldwide
Tesla has officially announced that it will be ending its referral program worldwide on April 30, 2024. This program allowed Tesla owners to earn prizes by referring new buyers. It was originally launched in 2015 and has evolved many times since then.
The referral program offered various benefits to both the referrer and the buyer. For instance, a buyer using a current owner’s referral link to place an order would get some sort of benefit (like a discount, some free supercharging, or some free FSD access), and the referrer would get credit towards some sort of prize.
However, all of these benefits will be ending on April 30th. It's not yet clear how the program will be retired and whether orders made before April 30th will still qualify for credits if delivered after April 30th.
In addition to this, Tesla has also slashed the prices of its in US for Model Y, X, and S vehicles by $2,000 each. This price change brings the Model Y to its lowest price yet after taking into account the federal EV tax incentives. The price drop also marks the lowest price ever for the Model X.
It's worth noting that Tesla has ended its referral program in the past, so it's possible that it could be reintroduced in some form in the future. However, as of now, there's no official information about this. Please check Tesla's official website or trusted news sources for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
